Proposal authoritising Czech Republic and Poland to reduce VAT in high labour intensive services

Brussels, 27/04/2004 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has presented the Council will a draft decision to authorise the Czech Republic and Poland to apply reduced rates of VAT. This reduction will be authorised between 1 May 2004 and 31 December 2005 for window cleaning services in private accommodation, as well as in home care services in the Czech Republic, as well as small scale services such as bicycle repairs, shoes, leather goods, clothes and household linen in Poland.
