EUR 34.5 million for Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia

Brussels, 27/04/2004 (Agence Europe) - The Commission has announced that it plans to devote EUR 34.5 million from MEDA resources to supporting cooperation action in Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Syria and Tunisia.

In Algeria, the European Commission will commit a total of EUR 30 million for a four-year programme, including EUR 16 million in 2003 and EUR 14 million in 2004. The programme aims to contribute to the lasting re-establishment in their place of origin of persons...
