Brussels, 26/04/2004 (Agence Europe) - By adopting in the last session, without amendments, the report by Mario Mantovani (EPP-ED, Italy) on "equal opportunities for the disabled: a European action plan", the European Parliament regretted the absence of legislative proposals in the action plan, notably, in a directive on the fight against disability, which covers all areas of EU competency, in order to eliminate obstacles to the participation of disabled people in society.
