GENERAL NEWS / (eu) ep/euro

06/04/2004 (Agence Europe) - On 1 April in Strasbourg the European Parliament adopted a proposal designed to regulate the use of the terms "euro" and euro cent" as well as the euro symbol on medals and metal tokens (report by José Javier Pomés Ruiz (Popular Party, Spain). The proposal identifies similarities between metal objects and euro coins that need to be done away with and supplies indirect guidelines for companies manufacturing the products.
