Germany supports candidature of Jean Lemierre, of France, as President of International Monetary Fund

Brussels, 29/03/2004 (Agence Europe) - Germany supports the candidature of Jean Lemierre to the presidency of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), it was reported in Der Spiegel on Monday. In return for this gesture, France would agree to a German national possibly holding the post of European Commission Vice-President in order to make economic reform move forward.
