24/03/2004 (Agence Europe) - After the resignation of Eddie Fenech Adami, on Tuesday, Lawrence Gonzi took the oath as the new Prime Minister of Malta. According to AFP, Mr Gonzi, a 50-year old lawyer, was pleased to take on this responsibility at "this historic time", when Malta is preparing to join the European Union.
