Three companies have declared an interest in the acquisition of the 80.77% stake held by ABN AMRO in the BANK OF ASIA, the ninth largest bank in Thailand in terms of assets. The sale is said to be worth USD 540 million. Two of the candidates are already known: HSBC HOLDINGS from Britain and the SINGAPORE UNITED OVERSEAS BANK.
