24/03/2004 (Agence Europe) - During World TB Day on 24 March, the European Commission announced that it was co-funding two vaccination projects, to the tune of EUR 32 million in total from the 6th framework programme. Tuberculosis kills at least two million every year and is currently experiencing a sharp rise.
