French company SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC has bought out US detection specialist KAVLICO (part of the SOLECTRON group; turnover of USD 156 million at the end of the tax year in August 2003) for USD 195 million. SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC is already a player in this domain with its CROUZET AUTOMATION subsidiary.
