Luxembourg, 15/03/2004 (Agence Europe) - In 2003, the European Investment Bank (EIB) lent some 1.2 billion EUR to fund projects in Greece. The Bank's loans covered traditional sectors of activity, especially transport and energy (including renewable energy), but also human capital, and urban refurbishment and planning, and the promotion of SMEs to a total of 100 million EUR via local partners (Alpha and Emporiki).
