15/03/2004 (Agence Europe) - For the time being Cypriot electoral law envisages a single European electoral contest with Turkish Cypriots able to take part in accordance with certain electoral conditions for Turkish Cypriots in the south of the island. Another outcome is possible if reunification negotiations are concluded: the two parties have approved a draft common law that would create two electoral constituencies. Four MEPs would be elected in the south of the island and two in the north.
