EP calls on Member States to take account of fundamental rights of women with disabilities, migrant and Roma women

Brussels, 15/03/2004 (Agence Europe) - With the adoption (311 votes in favour, 38 against and 156 abstentions) of the report by Spanish Socialist Elena Valenciano Martinez-Orozco on the situation of women from minority groups in the EU (see EUROPE of 5 March, p.17), the European Parliament underlines the importance of equality when it comes to women with disabilities, migrant women and Roma women.
