RTL allowed to take sole control of M6

Brussels, 15/03/2004 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has authorised RTL to take sole control of M6 in the broadcasting sector, as this operation will not change the structure of the market. M6 operates a national terrestrial free-access television channel, and also holds a stake in pay TV operator TPS (Télévision par Satellite). Until now, M6 was jointly controlled by RTL (48.4%) and Suez (37.6%). Suez decided to sell its share, leaving RTL with exclusive control of M6.
