Call for Constitution to be adopted before 1 May

Strasbourg, 12/03/2004 (Agence Europe) - Adopting a resolution on Thursday on preparations for the 25/26 March European Council, the European Parliament formally appealed to heads of state to decide at the Summit to immediately re-launch the Intergovernmental Conference in order to decide before 1 May on the draft Constitutional Treaty prepared by the European Convention without changing the general balance of the draft.
