EU and USA reach agreement on co-existence of GPS and Galileo satellite systems

Brussels, 26/02/2004 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission announced on Thursday it had reached an agreement with the US government have on the basic issues regarding the compatibility of the Galileo and GPS satellite systems. Heinz Hilbrecht, Director of the Commission's Transport Directorate informed the press that there were now only formal and legal questions still pending.
