European trade unions insist on speedy adoption of draft directive on gender equality in access to services and goods and to provision of the same

Brussels, 19/02/2004 (Agence Europe) - The draft directive on equality between men and women in the services and goods sector continues to draw comment. The proposal put by Commissioner Diamantopoulou aims to abolish all discrimination based on gender in acceding or providing goods and services (see EUROPE of 6 November, p.11).
