17/02/2004 (Agence Europe) - On Monday, the European Commission announced that it had received the information needed to allow it to complete its inquiry into the planned hostile takeover by Oracle Corp of its competitor on the software market, PeopleSoft Inc, for the sum of $7.3 billion. The European Executive fixed a new date, 11 May, for closure of the inquiry.
