17/02/2004 (Agence Europe) - According to the Polish deputy minister for European integration, Tadeusz Kozek, Poland has effectively absorbed 95% of the funds available to it under the Community pre-accession programme PHARE, over the years 1990-2001. "This rate of absorption should be maintainable for 2002 and 2003", said Mr Kozek. Between 1990 and 2003, the EU has granted Poland a total of 3.9 billion EUR under the PHARE programme.
