Brussels, 05/02/2004 (Agence Europe) - Romania's Chief Negotiator for EU accession talks, Vasile Puscas, rebuffed on Thursday the "very radical" attitude of the European Parliament rapporteur on Romania, Emma Nicholson, who asked, on Wednesday, for negotiations to be suspended until Bucharest has given its assurance that the political criteria of Copenhagen (which must be met even before a candidate country can begin membership talks) are still being complied with.
