Brussels, 26/01/2004 (Agence Europe) - In next week's mini-plenary session in Brussels, the European Parliament will award the Sakharov Prize to the Secretary General of the United Nations, Kofi Annan and to all the United Nations' staff (and will discuss a report on EU relations with the UN). The Constitutional Committee has requested that the plenary vote on supporting the Irish Presidency in its attempts to relaunch the IGC (see EUROPE of 22 January, p. 3).
