26/01/2004 (Agence Europe) - MEP Olivier Dupuis raised questions in a press release about the 'highly mysterious' Libyan delegation that will be visiting Brussels on 27 January for a meeting with the EP delegation for Maghreb countries chaired by Partido Popular MEP Gerardo Galeote. The Belgian MEP for the Lista Bonino asked who the leader of the delegation, Mohammed Ibrahim, was, suggesting that inside sources suggested that he was in fact Mohammed Ibrahim Ghadaffi, cousin of the Libyan President and former leader of the avant-garde revolutionary committees accused in 1976-77 of purging Bengazi University. He was also the education minister who had established the sadly infamous trials in: Libyan universities. There are moves at present to restore dialogue with Tripoli, said Dupuis, but did this really have to go through Mohammed Ibrahim Ghadaffi?
