Council reaffirms EU support for Bonn Process and for new international ministerial Troika conference in Kabul

Brussels, 26/01/2004 (Agence Europe) - On Monday, the External Relations Council adopted the following conclusions on Afghanistan (unofficial translation): "The Council welcomes the adoption by the Loya Jirga of the new constitution of Afghanistan. This is a fundamental stage in the peace process established by the Bonn Agreement and lays the foundations for peace and prosperity for the Afghan people. The Council again confirms the European Union's unreserved commitment to the Bonn Process...
