Parmalat encourages Commission to take stricter auditing measures

Brussels, 07/01/2004 (Agence Europe) - Following the scandal provoked by the bankruptcy of Paramalat, Jonathan Todd, spokesman for Commissioner Frits Bolkestein that the European Commission has announced that it will be taking measures to strengthen audit monitoring, establish stricter standards in auditing and consolidating rules in economic governance.
