EU welcomes results of Islamabad Summit and India-Pakistan rapprochement

Brussels, 07/01/2004 (Agence Europe) - The Union "greatly appreciated", on Wednesday, the announcement that dialogue between India and Pakistan will shortly be resumed and that the 12th Summit of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) has been a success. SAARC met on Monday and Tuesday in Islamabad, bringing together seven countries of the region.

Welcoming these "significant" results, President Prodi particularly welcomed, in a press release published on Tuesday...
