Go-ahead for British subsidy to intermodal container rail transport

Brussels, 22/12/2003 (Agence Europe) - Last Wednesday, the European Commission approved a new aid system to promote intermodal container transport by rail in the United Kingdom (Great Britain only). The Commission believes that the aid system fulfils all the criteria of Community legislation and is thus compatible with the proper functioning of the single market.
