22/12/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission authorised, Monday on 22 December, according to the simplified procedure, the acquisition of the German company MTU Aero Engines GmbH by the American investment company Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co (KKR). According to the Commission, the operation, which was notified last 24 November, has no impact on competition, as KKR does not presently control any other company active in the same sector as MTU (manufacture of aircraft engine).
