Commission decision sanctioning anti-competitive cartels in Greece-Italy shipping sector is confirmed ("Marlines" case)

Luxembourg, 12/12/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission's decision sanctioning anti-competitive cartels in the Greece-Italy shipping sector has been confirmed, it is announced by the EU's Court of First Instance. Three maritime companies out of the five which had challenged the decision now have their fine confirmed at the level fixed by the Commission, i.e.: Marlines EUR 260,000; Strintzis Lines Shipping EUR 1,500,000; and Minoan Lines EUR 3,260,000.
