Adoption of "Verona Charter" on road safety - creation of monitoring centre on road safety

Brussels, 28/10/2003 (Agence Europe) - The Transport Ministers of the EU have adopted a "Verona Charter" on road safety, following the informal meeting which took place on Thursday and Friday in Romeo and Juliet's home town. This was a week entirely devoted to road safety, with the first "European accident-free night" having taken place on 25 and 26 October in several Member States of the EU.
