Parliament wants EU to support reconstruction

Strasbourg, 23/10/2003 (Agence Europe) - In its adoption, in Strasbourg on Thursday, of a resolution on the situation in Bolivia, the European Parliament has taken note of the first statement by President Carlos Mesa Gisbert and of his commitment to govern in a spirit of dialogue, by holding a referendum on the energy issue and on the anticipated elections, and to make the political system more democratic in order to make it more participative, especially for Aymara and Quetchua Indians.
