Plenary supports Council/Parliament compromise on strengthening measures limiting emission of greenhouse gases and particulate pollutants from non-road mobile machinery

Strasbourg, 23/10/2003 (Agence Europe) - By adopting, on Tuesday, by 458 votes in favour, 2 against and 7 abstentions the report by Bernd Lange (ESP, Germany) concerning the proposed directive aiming to strengthen the measures to fight against pollution by non-road mobile machinery in the EU, the European Parliament definitively approved the results of the negotiations that it had undertaken with the Council over this dossier.
