15/09/2003 (Agence Europe) - After a meeting on 11 September in Madrid with Mr Aznar, French President Jacques Chirac said that the Christian roots of the European civilisation are undeniable. However, France being a lay state, it does not usually make any claims of a religious kind in a constitutional text, he added.
