Launch of negotiations for programming regional aid to Cyprus: 113 million EUR from 2004 to 2006

Brussels, 15/09/2003 (Agence Europe) - Negotiations for the programming of 113 million EUR that Cyprus is to receive under the European cohesion policy for 2004 to 2006 will begin on Tuesday 16 September in Nicosia. Cyprus will receive aid for the construction of infrastructure, but also for economic and social reconversion of urban and rural areas in difficulties, education, training, employment and fisheries.
