Estonians massive "yes" vote in favour of accession

Brussels, 15/09/2003 (Agence Europe) - A large majority of Estonians (66.9%) pronounced themselves in favour of their country's accession to the EU during Sunday's referendum (turnout: 63%). "Spring has arrived in Estonia. We are back in Europe", said the Estonian Prime Minister, Juhan Parts. The European Commission was also delighted with the results of the referendum.
