Commission refers Ireland and Luxembourg to Court of Justice regarding working hours of seafarers

Brussels, 10/07/2003 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday, the European Commission decided to refer Ireland and Luxembourg to the Court of Justice for failing to let it know their national measures for transposing the directive on seafarers' working hours. The directive, that the two States have still not transposed into national law, aims to improve maritime security and the living and working conditions of seafarers.
