09/07/2003 (Agence Europe) - Antonio Tajani, Forza Italia MEP, confirmed in a press release that the Italian Presidency's programme aims to “give new strength to the Union”, and sketches "a Europe which is a friend to the United States and capable of taking new and ever greater responsibilities”.
