Council awaits proposals on EU's contribution to rebuilding Iraq

Porto Carras, 20/06/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Council invited the European Commission and Javier Solana to submit proposals on the EU's contribution to the reconstruction of Iraq. Welcoming the adoption of the United Nations Security Council Resolution No 1483 and the appointment of Sergio Vieira de Mello as Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary General in Iraq, the Heads of State and Government insist that there should the UN should make a major contribution...
