Appeal to Turkish Cypriots to support Koffi Annan's efforts

Porto Carras, 20/06/2003 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday, the European council called on the concerned parties, in particular, Turkey and the Turkish Cypriot leaders, to fully support the efforts of UN Secretary General, Kofi Annan, to resolve the Cypriot problem. It is seeking a swift resumption discussions on the basis of Mr Annan's proposals (see declarations of Mr Verheugen, p 12).
