Parliament calls on EU to work toward adoption of binding instruments on the marking/tracing and brokering of light weapons

Brussels, 20/06/2003 (Agence Europe) - With the adoption on Thursday of a resolution by its seven political groups, the European Parliament invited the EU Council and the Governments of Member State to seize the opportunity provided by the biennial meeting scheduled for July in New York on examination of application of the United Nations action programme on the illegal trade of light weapons and small arms in order to reaffirm their commitment to international instruments on marking/tracing...
