Brussels, 27/05/2003 (Agence Europe) - The International Federation of Human Rights (FIDH) is appealing to EU Member States to look into the violation of human rights in Chechnya, during the EU/Russia summit on 31 May. In an open letter send on Monday to Foreign Affairs Ministers of the EU, the association denounced not only the policy carried out in Chechnya by the Russian government but also the international community's silence on the issue.
