Scheele and Trakatelis reports call for stricter rules than the Council wants for traceability and labelling of GM-based foods

Brussels, 27/05/2003 (Agence Europe) - With the commercial tension between the EU and the United States at fever pitch over GMOs, the Parliament's committee on the environment has spoken out in favour of tightening up the rules proposed for traceability and labelling of GM-based foodstuffs and animal feed in the Union.
