Adoption of Cannes declaration on cinema by Culture Ministers of enlarged Europe

Brussels, 19/05/2003 (Agence Europe) - The Culture Ministers of the enlarged Europe, who met in Cannes on 15 May together with the Commissioner for Culture and Education, Viviane Reding, and the President of the EP Committee on Culture, Michel Rocard (see EUROPE of 15 May, p.18), adopted the "Cannes Declaration", by which they "intend to retain their capacity to support film and creativity".
