Overall loan in favour of funding small and medium-sized projects in Latvia

Luxembourg, 19/05/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Investment Bank (EIB) is to lend EUR 10 million to NORD/LB Latvija (formerly Pirma Banka) to fund small and medium-sized projects in Latvia. With this overall loan, NORD/LVB Latvija will finance projects in Latvia's industry, services and tourism sectors as well as small and medium-sized investment relating to the environment, energy savings, and infrastructures (including health and education). The final beneficiaries will be SMEs and private or public promoters, irrespective of size or property structure, projects relating to energy, the protection of the environment or to infrastructures.
