19/05/2003 (Agence Europe) - Valdo Spini, alternate to Marco Follini (one of the representatives from the Italian parliament at the European Convention), has presented amendments to the articles on the election of the European Commission President by the European Parliament. He considers as "quite unsatisfactory" the Praesidium's proposal whereby the Parliament can only accept or refuse a single candidate.
