British Government decision could fall on 9 June

Brussels, 16/05/2003 (Agence Europe) - The government of the United Kingdom is to announce to the House of Commons on 9 June whether or not it recommends the country's entry into the Euro-Zone, indicated a Downing Street spokesperson on Thursday. The government's announcement will follow a special meeting of the Cabinet on 5 or 6 June, after discussions between Prime Minister Tony Blair and Chancellor of the Exchequer Gordon Brown.
