Commission could act against official who rented out accommodation unfit for human beings who where here illegally

Brussels, 16/05/2003 (Agence Europe) - The Belgian prosecution service decided to serve a warrant for the arrest of an EU official accused on renting out accommodation unfit for human consumption to people illegally residing in Belgium. Commissioner Neil Kinnock explained that the Commission had asked the Belgian legal authorities on Friday for more information on this matter.
