Brussels, 16/05/2003 (Agence Europe) - Be it "takeover bids" (see above) or the standardisation of sales promotions (sales, etc), the chances of reaching agreements on the "big dossiers" at the Competitiveness Council of 19 May are slim. After Thursday's night of deliberations, the Member States' permanent representatives tried again on Friday afternoon to progress towards a compromise on takeover bids.
