Parliament largely amends draft directive on co-generation

Strasbourg, 13/05/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament has introduced a large number of amendments to the draft directive on promoting co-generation in the EU. Bu adopting the report of Norbert Glante (PES, Germany), Parliament is proposing: a definition and calculating method that is "clearer" for co-generation, a more ambitious calendar, as well as listed Community and national objectives for electricity from co-generation.
