Brussels, 13/05/2003 (Agence Europe) - As briefly announced yesterday, the European Commission has decided to strengthen measures taken to prevent avian influenza from spreading from the German Land of Rhineland North Westphalia. Monday's decision bans all movement of poultry and eggs within the Land, with the possibility of exemption for slaughter, and all exports of live fowl, hatching eggs and litter or manure from this Land.
