Brussels, 06/05/2003 (Agence Europe) - Before addressing EU heath ministers on Tuesday meetings at an special meeting focussing on Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (Sars) and the WHO Framework Agreement on smoking, Gro Harlem Brundtland, director general of the World Health Organisation (WHO) met Commissioners David Byrne (Health), Philippe Busquin (Research) and Pascal Lamy (Trade) to discuss prospects for further cooperation between the WHO and the European Commission.
