HVB - HYPOVEREINSBANK, the second largest bank in Germany, has begun discussions for the sale of its consumer credit NORISBANK subsidiary (total balance sheet around EUR 3 bn, with staff of 1,100 and 500,000 customers) and has arranged for 9 May as the deadline for submitting tenders that could see the company valued at between EUR 300-400 million.
